David was a highly skilled gardener with his knowledge of plants and there names both common and Latin and how when and where they should be planted as well as how they should be cared for to get good flowers and crops. He had taken prizes in local flower shows and national competitions it is of course a great shame that recently our garden did not reflect his ability although he had been checking through seeds and some other things at the end of last and the beginning of this year i had even bought more slug pellets because he asked me to so he was very much looking forward to the spring and the year ahead. He had enjoyed a look around our aunt's garden right at the very beginning of the year when he just wanted to see what was already flowering and growing compared to ours being only a few miles separating the two gardens.
